Domaine Lachat is the perfect place for those who like to enjoy life! You can indulge in the view of the rolling hills of the Beaujolais while sipping of a great glass of local wine. Take a dive in the pool or enjoy reading a book in the shade where you will be surrounded by the vineyards of our domaine. The view from Domaine Lachat is like a painting that changes every day.
We proudly call Beaujolais our home since the summer of 2018. This was a long-lasting dream
that has now come true. Here, we celebrate life together with our two young sons.
A place like this is meant to be shared!

Gîtes
Domaine Lachat is an old wine farm that we are restoring to its former glory. Since the end of 2019 we have been farming our own vineyards surrounding our domaine.
Part of the house has been fully renovated into modern and luminous apartments while preserving the authentic details. All of the apartments have extra large windows which show a magnificent view over the rolling hills and vineyards of the Beaujolais.
Our independent apartments are ultra-comfortable and fully equipped with their own bathroom and kitchen.

In addition to the apartments, Domaine Lachat has a great terrace with a heated swimming pool and pool-house. We gladly share this outside area with our guests. Ideal to do a few laps in the morning, take a refreshing dive in the afternoon or just relax the whole day with a book and a glass of wine.

At Domaine Lachat you have the freedom to make your own breakfast in your fully equipped kitchen. Do you prefer to be pampered? We offer you the option of ordering your breakfast basket of fresh products, many of which are homemade!
Wine tastings
Domaine Lachat is a small family winery where we farm and prodeuce our own wine. We are also
surrounded by many innovative and passionate wine makers. We would love to help you discover your favorite bottle of Beaujolais.
Table d'hôtes
In July and August we welcome our quests with the festivities of a Saturday night BBQ. Upon arrival at the Domaine, an aperitif will be waiting for you and we will serve our own homecooked food.
On Thursdays, we serve an extensive lunch with regional dishes. A proper French lunch exists of an entrée, main course, cheese and dessert. We like to use local fresh products and of course also produce from our own vegetable garden.
Enjoy a glass of wine at the camp fire long into the night!
Surroundings
Beaujolais is a lively region which is known for the wine it produces. The 10 “crus” of Beaujolais consist of small villages each having its own wine cave where you taste and buy the local wine. Additional many winemakers sell wine directly from their winery. There are many possibilities of where to find wine.
Outside of discovering the great wines of this region, there are many other activities to keep busy. If you like an active vacation, there are endless walking and biking trails (by road bike, mountain bike or
electrical bike).
Year-round there are festivals and other events in the surrounding villages.
Not far from the gîte, there are many lakes for swimming and cultural sites to visit. The culinary capital of France is Lyon which is located 40 minutes from the Domaine.
The Beaujolais has something for everybody!
Who are we?
Ever since we have known each other, we have dreamed about a future in France. Anne would always
say: when I grow up I will start my own Bed & Breakfast. Thijs wanted to live in a beautiful calm place
with great views and the freedom to build a campfire every night.
In June 2018, we finally made the move that we had dreamt of for so long. This domaine was the first
place our realtor showed us and we were sold immediately. We had found our dream house.
In 2020 we hosted our first guests at Domaine Lachat. We want to share our love for Beaujolais with
the rest of you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
