General terms & conditions

1 - Liability

Your stay at Domaine Lachat and the use of our facilities is voluntary and at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for personal injuries during or after your stay at our Domaine. The owners are not responsible for damage, loss or theft of goods of the guests

2 - Rates

  • The gîte rates are per night or per week, excluding breakfast and taxes.
  • In July/August we welcome our quests by week. Outside of summer, we have a 3 nights minimum.

3 - Reservation

  • The full value of the reservation is due upon booking. Your reservation is confirmed once your payment is received.
  • Other services rendered can be paid during your stay or upon check-out.

4 - Cancellation policy

  • Cancellations will be accepted in writing or by email
  • If you make a cancellations prior to 4 weeks before arrival, you will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation after 4 weeks before arrival, you will not receive a refund unless we are able to rent out the gîte. In that case, you will receive a refund in the amount of the new booking.
  • In the case of an early departure, the total amount of the reservation will be charged.
  • We recommend purchasing a cancellation and travel insurance.
  • In case domaine lachat has to cancel your reservation you will be informed immediately and receive a full refund.

5 - Arrival and departure

  • On the day of arrival we will welcome you from 16.00. If your arrival will be after 21.00, please let us know.
  • Check-out is before 11h.

6 - Pool

  • The swimming pool is for joined us between our family and our guests.
  • There is no supervision, the use of the swimming pool is at your own risk. Please respect our house rules.

For safety reasons, we do not allow children under the age of 12 or without a swimming certificate to enter the pool alone. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for supervising children as well as ensuring the wearing of floaties or a life jacket. ​

The swimming pool is covered by a deck. We apply the rule that the last adult to leave the swimming pool with close the deck which is operation by an electrical switch. The terrace of the swimming pool is enclosed by a fence. Please make sure that the gate is closed at all times.

7 - Children

  • We have many facilities and resources for children (such as baby beds, highchairs and toys). Please contact us if you have any requests.
  • Children need to be under the supervision of an adult at all time.

8 - Pets

In general our gîtes are not suitable for pets. If you have a request to bring a pet, please contact us to discuss possibilities. Our domaine has chickens, a sheep and a cat.

9 - Other

  • The gîtes and the swimming pool terrace are a non-smoking area.
  • Please park your car on the designated spots.
  • As part of 'Friends of Lachat', all vines remain the property of GFA Lachat.
